What I liked about this one was the light hearted and comical approach, unlike his usual, fear driven intensity. How I missed this one earlier, is beyond me. The intensity was still present, but, with comic relief, kept me turning the pages late into the night. Ticktock () is a novel by Dean Koontz. It is significantly out-of-genre for Koontz: after a typical horror opening, the tone of the plot changes to screwball comedy and the humour increases steadily to the end.
